Beauly - Autumn Weekend - Friday 19 September 2025

Heading north rather than south for this years autumn weekend. 

We're based in Beauly north west of Inverness with access to a large range of mountain and coastal walks, including Glen Strathfarrar (4 Munros), Glen Affric (several Munros!), Ben Wyvis (1 Munro) and the Black Isle (0 Munros).

Access to Glen Strathfarrar by vehicle does not need special permission during summer (which includes September) but total vehicles are limited to 25 so it may be worthwhile packing more people into cars for any walks in that area. More info here.

The Saturday evening meal has been arranged at the Priory Hotel.

Camping:

Although the Beauly campsite is just outside Beauly (a couple of km west) it has the "Beauly and the Beast" festival on Saturday 20th Sept and any booking includes (a) the price of tickets to the event and (b) a lot of (loud) music.

The nearest alternative campsite is at Bunchrew, about 10 miles east of Beauly on the "old" Inverness road.
